Stress isn’t a one shot deal where you get it once and then never have to worry about it again… you can experience stress repeatedly and, while that might be par for the course for many people, stress can wreak serious havoc on your quality of life.

Stress can make you feel terrible health-wise. While you might not immediately realize that you’re dealing with a high level of stress, however you may have felt that something is different physically.

Having the “jitters” or feeling nervous are signs of severe stress. So are other physical problems that you might dismiss at first. But this ailment can usually be traced back to the moment it began.

Maybe you began to struggle with physical symptoms after a loved one walked out on you or after a child was diagnosed with an illness? Perhaps, you witnessed a trauma or been through one yourself?

Situations such as those can cause stress that lasts for a period of time. The kind of feeling that persists is said to be a more serious form of stress and calls for a period of treatment to alleviate the problem.

How you choose to address stress management can vary from a few simple techniques to more in depth intervention such as medication or sessions with a counselor or a hypnotist. Sometimes handling the way you feel can be as easy as not doing what you’ve always done.

Everybody has stress. (The only time when you have no stress is when you are dead.) When you feel stress, your body will respond; it’s just the way it was meant to react. It’s fight or flight. This is a good thing in small doses; it’s for your protection and well being. But if your body is in a constant state of upheaval, this can lead to digestive problems, sleep problems and more.

When stress reaches the point where it’s causing you to miss out on life, getting help is the most important thing you can do for your mental health as well as your physical health.

Call me, Bryan Toder, now at 610-397-1515 and we’ll talk in a free consultation about how hypnosis can help you reduce and manage your stress.

Realize that stress management is not always a one step cure. It’s a process — a series of small steps that you can take. But with help, you can learn how to cope and come out on the other side — to a healthier, happier you.

But when that fear becomes paralyzing — when it affects our lives or our very safety — that’s the time to fix it. Hypnotism and NLP is a great way to do it!

People with fears have their careers in jeopardy, lives could be at stake in an emergency and it’s just a horrible way to live. You can fix it — and lead a happier life!

Many people have overly-aggressive fears or phobias that stop them in their tracks.

Some of the most common fears are:

• Driving over bridges
• Bugs (the fear of spiders is a big one!)
• Relationships
• Public speaking
• Social situations or sociophobia
• Needles
• Success
• Failure
• Death
• Disease, especially cancer
• Thunder & lightning
• Heights or acrophobia
• Confined spaces or claustrophobia
• Open spaces or agoraphobia
• Flying or aerophobia
• … and so much more!

Fear is a normal reaction and this emotion has been imprinted in all of us. Fear is the internal knowledge (whether true or false) that you are in danger or that something bad is about to happen. And, fear is usually accompanied by physical symptoms which are quite disturbing.

But, when it is not justified by any rational cause, or the presence of a real danger or threat and when it is also accompanied by the systematic avoidance of the situations that lead to it, then this is what is called a phobia.

Fortunately, much of the reaction to a fear can be reduced or even eliminated with hypnosis and/or NLP. NLP, by the way or Neuro-Linguistic Programming, is a way to get results in MINUTES — usually with just a few sessions. (The hypnotist at Plymouth Hypnosis Center, Bryan D. Toder, is a Master Practitioner in NLP.)

<img src="http://plymouthhypnosis.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/fears.jpg" alt="" title="Eliminate Fears" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;" width="300" height="201" align="left" size-full wp-image-803" />

Most people who call my office to eliminate a fear at Plymouth Hypnosis Center usually ask the same question, “Can you help me eliminate my fear of _____________ ?” The answer is yes and no.

So, okay, that’s not the best answer, but let me explain…

Fears are there for a reason. They are there to protect you. (You really don’t want to start a career of jumping out of planes, now do you?) But, it’s when the fear becomes a problem — when it affects your life — that it needs to be addressed.

And, in most cases, your fear can be reduced. Which goes back to my original answer: “yes and no”. Yes, the fear can be eliminated, but is that always so wise?

For instance, I get a lot of clients with the fear of bridges. They just can’t, for some odd reason, drive over a bridge without panicking. So, I can usually get them to “turn down” that fear, but we don’t want to “eliminate” it totally because you really want to be somewhat cautious while driving on a bridge. (You need to be aware of all of the drivers and what they are doing. You are able to drive without the fear, but you aren’t reckless about it.) However, the initial fear of driving over the bridge can be so reduced that it’s not a problem. Get it?

Usually, within just a few sessions, your fears will be so minimized that they won’t “get in your way”. Everybody’s happy.

Here’s a sample testimonial (just one of several HUNDREDS in my office) from a woman who was incredibly afraid of dogs:

No Longer Afraid of Dogs

So end how those fears take hold of you and control your life! Get control of them! Call me now at 610-397-1515 for your free hypnosis screening. It’ll take about 40 minutes and you’ll get your life back on track.

I’ve never seen anything like it before.

For the past seven years in my hypnosis center, I would normally get about two or three stress-related clients a month. The fear of driving over bridges and basic stress management were two of the most popular clients.

Then, an odd thing happened in October 2008. I started getting about 3-4 calls a week about stress! So, what happened?

Well, October was a very, very stressful month for most Americans. First, it was election time and the 2008 Presidential Election was probably one of the most competitive, nit-picky elections we have ever seen. (In fact, I pulled all of my advertising because people stopped reading the paper and listening to the news because they were so tired of it all.)

Next, was the economic condition of the country. At that time, most Americans believed the news they were told about the economy and they got stressed to the max. (Then, in 2009 when the economy really did tank, we got even more stressed!)

Also, the news was anything but positive. War, the bad economy, the dollar, jobs, kidnapped children, crime… Yikes! Talk about stress!

So, What Can We Do About It?

Hypnosis is one of the best ways to alleviate your fears and reduce your stress. Going to a qualified and certified hypnotist is one of your best choices to help reduce your stress.

You can always call me at 610-397-1515 and find out how hypnosis can help you!
We offer a free hypnosis screening appointment to see if hypnosis is right for you.

Some of the Most Common Types of Stress-Related Clients:

Fears (dogs, bridges, driving, etc.)

Social anxiety (Crowds, can’t talk to women, etc.)

Relationships (Trouble “forgetting” a boyfriend, relationship stress, etc.)

Sales Skills (Problems closing the sale, call reluctance.)

Public speaking

Sports (Golf, gymnastics, tennis, etc.)

Test-Taking (… and other school-related stress!)

… and so much more.

So, if you need my help… call me now. You’ll love hypnosis — it’s the calmest, most relaxing experience you’ll ever have! 610-397-1515

I went to high school in the 1970’s and I still remember the first day of school. My stomach hurts just thinking about it. The new teachers, the new kids, the old smells and the stress.

Like most kids, I hated school. Not because it was school; just because. And, the stress was horrible, along with my skin.

Kids nowadays have a lot more stress to deal with. (We just had to make sure we locked our lockers and wore “mod” clothes.) They have the schoolwork, of course, but the social competition in schools is unbelievable.

You can’t make a move out there without wondering if it’ll end up on YouTube or FaceBook or on the news. Sex with consequences, sex at a younger age, sex with teachers — amazing.

So, is anyone surprised that kids these days are just too stressed to study? That’s where hypnotism can help out.

Did you know that that best way to study is to replicate the way a test is taken? Think about this: your child studies in bed or on the couch, his iPod playing, the dog is sleeping at his feet, his favorite soda, a snack, a text message now and then… it’s all very nice and comfortable. And, that’s how the information is going in.

Then, it’s test time. Fluorescent lights, sitting upright at his desk, other students in the room, no beverage, no snacks… the stress. And, then he’s going to try to extract the information and facts? Not easy to do.

So, what’s the best way to study? Well, the best case scenario is to have learned self-hypnosis, put oneself into a trance, study while in the trance and when the test time comes, repeat the hypnosis/study combination.

If the student doesn’t know self-hypnosis, the next best thing is to study the way the test is taken. Sitting upright. No music, snacks, dog, phone, text messages with friends, etc. Then, when the test is taken, the information flows out much easier.

Stress is an amazing phenomenon. It’ll keep you from remembering someone’s name (“…it’s on the tip of my tongue!”). It’ll stop you from seeing the keys on the table. Stress will be the main factor in weight gain because you use food to cope with the stress. And, stress will stop you from remembering the information when taking a test.

Self-hypnosis is the best way to combat the stress and it’s not so hard to learn. Go to a qualified and certified hypnotist for some lessons. (Don’t bother to try to learn it from a book; that’s like learning to sing from a book. Oh, and I can teach you self-hypnosis, if you are interested!)

So to get those grades, your best bet is to learn some self-hypnosis and put down that cell phone.
