If you have to stop seeing someone who you really like and care about, breaking up with that person is hard to do. Learning how to heal a broken heart is very important to our emotional health and to our ability to return to enjoying life.

Often, we have no choice but never see one other again, and it’s worth knowing how to get over those break ups and continue to move forward with our lives.

A Few Good Steps To Take After You Break Up

Try not to imagine that you and your ex-partner will get back together. You must demonstrate strength and reluctance in letting those thoughts get into your head. Being strong now will most certainly pay off in the future. (Hypnosis is great for this!)

People usually only think of the “good times”. Reminiscing on the wonderful times that you and your ex had while you were together does nothing good for you; it only aggravates your pain and prolong your recovery.

“One-itus” (When you think that your ex was one-of-a-kind person.) No matter how special he or she was, your next relationship will be special in its own, unique way—this is just the reality of how it works.

Reframe the break-up as an opportunity to learn how to deal with such experiences and become a stronger and better person. (I always learn something from each relationship.)

Your lost relationship was not a waste of time. You had great times (and not so great times) for as long as it lasted and don’t forget that some things are probably just not meant to last. There is no insurance against breaking up whether you have been together for a month or for 20 years.

Have you made certain mistakes in your recent relationship? Learn from those mistakes and make sure that you don’t make the same mistakes in the future.

Lastly, just live. Pursue your professional and social goals and don’t leave much space for boredom in your life.

Breaking up can be a positive experience if you allow it to be. It can make you grow and become a stronger and a more attractive person. Make sure you take advantage this time.

And, it is important that you remember that the pain of breaking up is a feeling and it will not go away overnight. If you need help in reducing that horrible feeling, try hypnosis. It works amazingly well! Call me at 610-397-1515 and we’ll talk.

Breaking up isn’t easy for anyone. If you have just been dumped—or if it was your idea to do the dumping—what you really need is a plan to move on. The first step is to accept the fact that the relationship is done. Even if you were the one who broke things off, it doesn’t make things any easier.

The biggest problem with breaking up is that you will still feel the need to get in contact your ex. You might think of yourself as friends one day, this isn’t the time to be “just friends”. One thing to do is write down (yes, really write this down!) why you broke up. What were the things with which you were unhappy? When you get the urge to contact the ex, read that list.

As in any breakup, you’ll probably feel the need to talk about everything concerning that person and people will tend to listen and support you. (But as time goes by even your closest friends will likely find it annoying when you keep on talking about your ex.) Talk about it… and once you are done, stop.

Next, reconstruct your life first before you jump into another relationship. Go on a vacation or reconnect with an old friend (not an ex, however).

If you need to turn down the hurt feelings, contact me and we’ll talk about how hypnosis can help you reduce the pain of breaking up. Hypnosis can’t get you to forget memories (it doesn’t work like that), but it can “turn down the volume” of the pain.

Call me now at 610-397-1515 and we’ll talk.

I get this question all of the time. In any conversation, when someone finds out that I am a Professional Hypnotist, the question always (and, I mean always!) comes out:

“Hypnosis? Does that really work?”

It’s a funny question and it took me a while to get used to it because all I could think was, “Of course it works!”

You see, the success my clients get in the offices of Plymouth Hypnosis Center is amazing. (When you come in, you’ll see a HUGE binder with over 600 written testimonials in it!)

But, I get it. Most people have never met a Hypnotist. Never been to a Hypnotist. Never met someone who’s been to a Hypnotist…

It’s kind of an odd question, but I do get why they ask it.

So, allow me to answer it: Yes. Hypnosis does work — if you are sincerely looking for it to work. This is why I offer a FREE screening appointment in my office. It’s to evaluate and see if hypnosis is right for you. Note: You must be committed to your success and want to take action on your respective program. Results may vary, of course, depending on this commitment.

Do you need help in losing weight, quitting smoking, managing stress… any other problems? Call me at 610-397-1515 and we’ll schedule a no-hassle, stress-free time to talk and see if this is right for you!

You’ll be amazed. And, after you’ve lost that weight, or quit smoking or whatever… and your friends ask you how, and you tell them you went to a Hypnotist at Plymouth Hypnosis Center… wait for the question, “Hypnosis? Does that really work?”

I guarantee you’ll smile!

If I had a nickel for every time I got that call. “Can you help me forget my boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever…?”

In a word: No.

Contrary to what you see on television, hypnosis can’t remove thoughts or memories. It just doesn’t work that way.

But, what hypnotism can do is have you react differently to the effects the memories have on you! You can, in a sense, turn down the “volume” of the hurt. Wouldn’t that be great?

And, for almost all of my clients who come to me with this request, this is all they need to move on with their life.

One of the techniques that I use in my office at Plymouth Hypnosis Center is Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP. We use NLP to help clients get change in their lives within minutes. It’s quite amazing, really.

You’ll learn how to mend a broken heart, get your life back in order and move on — without the need to move backwards.

And, isn’t that what you really want?

You’ll still have the good memories. You’ll still smile and laugh — but they won’t pull you back into a destructive relationship. You’ll… move on.

Call me at 610-397-1515 and we’ll talk.

I went to high school in the 1970’s and I still remember the first day of school. My stomach hurts just thinking about it. The new teachers, the new kids, the old smells and the stress.

Like most kids, I hated school. Not because it was school; just because. And, the stress was horrible, along with my skin.

Kids nowadays have a lot more stress to deal with. (We just had to make sure we locked our lockers and wore “mod” clothes.) They have the schoolwork, of course, but the social competition in schools is unbelievable.

You can’t make a move out there without wondering if it’ll end up on YouTube or FaceBook or on the news. Sex with consequences, sex at a younger age, sex with teachers — amazing.

So, is anyone surprised that kids these days are just too stressed to study? That’s where hypnotism can help out.

Did you know that that best way to study is to replicate the way a test is taken? Think about this: your child studies in bed or on the couch, his iPod playing, the dog is sleeping at his feet, his favorite soda, a snack, a text message now and then… it’s all very nice and comfortable. And, that’s how the information is going in.

Then, it’s test time. Fluorescent lights, sitting upright at his desk, other students in the room, no beverage, no snacks… the stress. And, then he’s going to try to extract the information and facts? Not easy to do.

So, what’s the best way to study? Well, the best case scenario is to have learned self-hypnosis, put oneself into a trance, study while in the trance and when the test time comes, repeat the hypnosis/study combination.

If the student doesn’t know self-hypnosis, the next best thing is to study the way the test is taken. Sitting upright. No music, snacks, dog, phone, text messages with friends, etc. Then, when the test is taken, the information flows out much easier.

Stress is an amazing phenomenon. It’ll keep you from remembering someone’s name (“…it’s on the tip of my tongue!”). It’ll stop you from seeing the keys on the table. Stress will be the main factor in weight gain because you use food to cope with the stress. And, stress will stop you from remembering the information when taking a test.

Self-hypnosis is the best way to combat the stress and it’s not so hard to learn. Go to a qualified and certified hypnotist for some lessons. (Don’t bother to try to learn it from a book; that’s like learning to sing from a book. Oh, and I can teach you self-hypnosis, if you are interested!)

So to get those grades, your best bet is to learn some self-hypnosis and put down that cell phone.
As always, results may vary.
