Does this REALLY work?!?

And, I totally understand the question. It’s a very fair question because — if you are still a smoker — you’ve probably tried it all: The patch, the gum, Chantix®, Wellbuterin®, lasers or acupuncture. Maybe you even tried one of those traveling group hypnosis seminars (and they don’t work because they’re there to sell you the vitamins in the back of the room).

None of that stuff worked for you. It was expensive and it failed. (And, most people don’t know that that is the norm for those methods!)

So, why would the hypnosis work at Plymouth Hypnosis Center?

You get personal attention — it’s not in a group with dozens of other people.

You are hypnotized by a professional Certified Hypnotist.

You receive a Written Service Guarantee.

You will read the testimonials of HUNDREDS of ex-smokers at Plymouth Hypnosis to show you that it really does work!

There are no “withdrawal symptoms”!

Hypnotism is the best way for anyone to quit smoking.

So, if you are still skeptical — and I TOTALLY understand that, just call me now at 610-397-1515 and schedule your FREE consultation. We’ll talk. No pressure. No hype. Really.

Almost every person coming into my office at Plymouth Hypnosis Center says the same thing: “I tried everything! The patch, the gum, Chantix®, Wellbuterin® — even acupuncture and lasers. Nothing worked!”

Yes, I hear it almost every time. And, now as their last-ditch effort they come to a hypnotist. They pray and worry that this will work because everything else failed.

But, why did all of those other methods fail? Let’s look:

Nicotine Replacement Systems:

If you use the patch and the gum, you are assuming (as most people do) that the problem is an addiction to nicotine. As I wrote in a previous entry on this site, it’s NOT a nicotine addiction.

This is not medical advice, and you should do what your physician tells you to do. That said, I don’t care what the research says or anything — it’s not an addiction to nicotine. When you come to my office for the free screening appointment, I’ll prove it to you.

Now, if you are using a nicotine patch or gum to quit smoking and it failed (and think about this), it failed because it’s NOT the nicotine. Truly, if it was the nicotine, the patch and gum would work all of the time. Period.

Wellbuterin®

(Again, if your doctor prescribes any drugs for you, follow his or her instructions.) That said, Wellbuterin® is a powerful drug for — depression. The side effects are many:

Changes in appetite

Constipation

Dizziness

Drowsiness

Dry mouth

Headache

Increased sweating

Nausea

Restlessness

Nervousness

Taste changes

Trouble sleeping

Vomiting

Weight changes

Are you kidding me? Oh, wait… there’s more:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, unusual hoarseness); blurred vision or other vision changes; changes in sexual desire or ability; chest pain; confusion; dark urine; delusions; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever, chills, or sore throat; hallucinations; hearing problems; menstrual changes; new or worsening mental or mood changes (eg, concentration problems, depression, panic attacks, aggressiveness, agitation, anxiety, impulsiveness, irritability, hostility, exaggerated feeling of well-being, inability to sit still); red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; seizures; severe headache or dizziness; severe or persistent joint or muscle pain; severe or persistent nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain; severe or persistent nervousness, restlessness, or trouble sleeping; shortness of breath; suicidal thoughts or attempts; tremor; unusual swelling; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Yikes!

Most people who come to my office said they felt very “muddle-headed” with Wellbutrin®. Couldn’t concentrate, etc.

And, then there’s Chantix® — Be prepared for THIS!

Side effects? Yes, there are a few:

Constipation

Gas

Headache

Increased appetite

Nausea

Stomach upset

Strange dreams

Taste changes

Trouble sleeping

Vivid, strange, or unusual dreams

Vomiting

Oh, but wait… there’s more:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); behavior changes; chest pain; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat; hallucinations; memory loss; new or worsening mental or mood problems (eg, aggression, agitation, anger, anxiety, DEPRESSION, nervousness, THOUGHTS OF HURTING OTHER PEOPLE); red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; seizures; severe or persistent nausea; SUICIDAL THOUGHTS OR ACTIONS; vision changes.

From the official Chantix® web site:

Some people have had changes in behavior, hostility, agitation, depressed mood, suicidal thoughts or actions while using CHANTIX to help them quit smoking. Some people had these symptoms when they began taking CHANTIX, and others developed them after several weeks of treatment or after stopping CHANTIX. If you, your family, or caregiver notice agitation, hostility, depression, or changes in behavior, thinking, or mood that are not typical for you, or you develop suicidal thoughts or actions, anxiety, panic, aggression, anger, mania, abnormal sensations, hallucinations, paranoia, or confusion, stop taking CHANTIX and call your doctor right away. Also tell your doctor about any history of depression or other mental health problems before taking CHANTIX, as these symptoms may worsen while taking CHANTIX.

Some people can have serious skin reactions while taking CHANTIX, some of which can become life-threatening. These can include rash, swelling, redness, and peeling of the skin. Some people can have allergic reactions to CHANTIX, some of which can be life-threatening and include: swelling of the face, mouth, and throat that can cause trouble breathing. If you have these symptoms or have a rash with peeling skin or blisters in your mouth, stop taking CHANTIX and get medical attention right away.

What?!? Is that all? I am amazed “spontaneous combustion” isn’t listed! Holy cow!

People have “blacked-out” while driving and lawsuits pertaining to the use of this drug are mounting. In my opinion, this is one of the stupidest drugs on the market. Oh, and what are the results?

From the official Chantix® web site:

In studies, 44% of CHANTIX users were quit during weeks 9 to 12 of treatment (compared to 18% on sugar pill).

If only 44% of my clients quit smoking, I’d be out of business. That’s an abysmal success rate. Also, it takes up to 12 weeks to work? And, you are paying for the drug and the cigarettes (because you are smoking while using the drug, too — did you know that?).

Twelve WEEKS?!? After you quit smoking at Plymouth Hypnosis Center, in twelve weeks (if you are smoking just a pack a day) you would have saved over $500 and you would generally have quit smoking the first day!

TWELVE WEEKS?!?

Side effects: NONE. 100% safe.

Really. None. Except for the fact that you’ll be very rested and relaxed. Nice, eh?

Well, it’s up to you now. How do you want to quit smoking? Take some drug with a bazillion side effects or a safe, effective and PROVABLE way to quit smoking now?

One of the oddest things I ever heard was: “Nicotine is more addictive than heroin!”

I heard it on the radio. I hear it from potential clients, on the Internet — even Dr. Oz from the Oprah Show said it. (And, of course, he knows everything, right?)

And, by the way, Dr. Oz – by announcing that asinine statement – basically convinced millions of Americans that it is impossible to quit smoking because, well… it’s easier to quit heroin, right?

Before I go on, I must make this statement: I am not a doctor and this is in no way medical advice. You can believe me or not. The fact that I have over 600 written testimonials in my office attesting to the FACT that they can and did quit smoking at Plymouth Hypnosis Center is testament in itself. If you want to truly quit smoking, just call me.

Okay, then, let me give you the facts:

People bandy about the word “addiction” all of the time. “I’m addicted to television,” for instance. That’s not what an addiction is.

addiction |əˈdik sh ən|

noun

1 his heroin addiction DEPENDENCY, dependence, habit, problem.

And, this is only my opinion, but you cannot be addicted to television, chocolate, love, cars, etc. You have true withdrawal symptoms from an addiction. Physical symptoms.

Heroin withdrawal symptoms include:

insatiable craving for the drug

restlessness

muscle and bone pain

insomnia

diarrhea

nausea

vomiting

cold flashes

cold sweat

goose bumps

involuntary kicking movements

dilated pupils

watery eyes

runny nose

excessive, repeated yawning

loss of appetite

tremors

panic

muscle cramps

shallow breathing

convulsions

increased heart rate

elevation in pulse

elevated temperature

sharp elevation in blood pressure

arrhythmia

stroke

heart attack

coma

depression

suicidal tendencies

Vomiting? Heart attack? Stroke?

Cigarettes as addictive as heroin? (Are you kidding me, Dr. Oz? It’s not an addiction. It’s a compulsion.)

I can prove it.

Do you really want to quit smoking? Call me now at 610-397-1515 and I’ll show you how easy it really is! You’ll quit smoking and you can then tell YOUR story in my huge book of testimonials!

It’s not just the health costs:

Ruining the Skin

Darkening of the Teeth

Emphysema

Lung Cancer

… etc.

It’s also the financial cost of smoking:

Figure (in this area) the costs of cigarettes at $6 a pack, the average smoker who smokes just a pack a day is spending almost $2,200 a YEAR on cigarettes! (Of course, two packs a day is over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS a year!)

Doesn’t that just blow your mind?

Years ago, when I first started in this business, I had a client come in who quit smoking at Plymouth Hypnosis Center in the first visit. (This is what I expect and you’ll see him on my video in my office.)

So, I called him a few weeks ago just to see how he was doing. Still not smoking (of course!) and he said something that was astounding:

“Bryan, it’s funny you called because I was just saying to my wife the other day how much I saved on cigarettes by not smoking.”

“How much?” I asked.

“About $27,000!”
